In order to watch too much racing you will need to know when it happens. Keep up with your favourite racing series by adding IWTMR Calendars to your Google Calendar, Apple iCal, Microsoft Outlook, or any other service which supports the ICAL or HTML formats.
Just click the link for the series you want to import and it will appear in your calendar.

Created calendar for FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC).
Renamed MotoGP to FIM MotoGP.
Renamed WSBK to FIM WSBK.
This groups the FIM bikes together in the list.
Redesigned the table into 3-column format for easier use on mobile devices.
"Last Updated" box added for ease of reference.
Calendar List
Each series has a header and three items underneath the header:
- Link to series website for latest news and weekend timetable.
- ICAL link.
- HTML link.
For iCal (iPhone, iPad, Mac) and possibly others:
Tap the ICAL link. ICAL is not restricted to Apple devices, try it on others.
For Google Calendar:
Click the HTML link then click the +GoogleCalendar icon at the bottom right.
Other:
Try both links and pick the one that works best for your app.
Apps work differently:
- Some apps subscribe to real time updates, this means when I change a date it will update for you as well. Google Calendar does this.
- Other apps download the data one time only and you will need to come back here to get the most recent files.
I recommend Google Calendar, it's what I used to create these calendars and it updates your list immediately when I post an update.

Why Use These Calendars?
I've been updating these since the 2011 racing season. Many decisions have been taken with experience, such as to make the usability the best it can be and to reduce the admin overhead. I will always listen to feedback but that doesn't always mean I'll implement it!
One series = One calendar
Pick championships that interest you without getting lots of dates for things you don't care about.
Customise
In Google Calendar you can colour-code each championship, e.g. you could make all the endurance series green, single-seater series red, or rally series brown (for dirt..!).
Races Only
Races are why we are all here. Races are most important. Practice sessions clutter the feed meaning you can't find the races.Clarity is better.
When you know the race day you can go to the series website to look up other session times. Use these calendars as a tool to remind you which weekend a race happens.
Dates, Not Times
Sorry, it is a big job for me to track race start times! These are announced much later than race dates, sometimes only days before a race. I cover 30+ series, I just can't monitor them on a weekly basis. There is also the issue of timezone conversion…
No TV Times
I don't know where you live! The internet is global. It is up to you to find out what TV, radio and online streaming coverage is available where you are.
Event Titles
Event titles are as consistent as possible:
A short series name, the round number, the event title.
F1 [R1] Australian Grand Prix
IndyCar [R5] Indianapolis 500
WEC [R3] 24 Heures du Mans
[COVID-19: During the pandemic I am not including Round numbers [R1] as dates are changing too quickly. Every cancellation/postponement means renumbering everything else. Hopefully we'll be back to normal mid-2021.]
I sometimes have to remove sponsor names for brevity, especially for NASCAR, some of those race names are incredible, so
NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series [R22] Helluva Good Sour Cream Dips At The Glen
might become
NASCAR Cup [R22] Watkins Glen
This is because I'm aware a lot of people, including me, use these on their mobile phone screensavers and you actually want to be able to read it!
Different series number their races in different ways. e.g. one series of 30 races may choose to have 30 individual round numbers (BTCC), another series of 20 races may choose to have 10 rounds and call them 'round 1 race 1′, 'round 1 race 2′, or 'round 1 feature race' and 'round 1 sprint race' (FIA F2). I try to mirror the way the championship does it but I've probably got this wrong somewhere, so just use this as a guide and consult the championship itself for the correct numbers.
Many series have two or three races per weekend. I merge multiple races in a day into a single entry, but if there are different races over 2 days they get one entry per day. A single race over 2 days, like Le Mans, will have one entry lasting 24 hours.
All rallies are listed as single events lasting 3 or 4 days.
Example entries:
Apr 3: BTCC -R1,R2,R3- Brands Hatch
May 7: DTM – R1 – Hockenheim
May 8: DTM – R2 – Hockenheim
'Misc' Calendar
Catch-all. It includes such things as the Dakar Rally, Goodwood Festival of Speed, Isle of Man TT, Nurburgring 24 Hours, Bathurst 12 Hours and anything else that pops into my head.
'Other Sport' Calendar
I made this for my own benefit for the 2012 Olympics & Paralympics. I like to know that I'm not going to miss the Tour de France or the FA Cup Final or the Six Nations! Or that racing isn't going to clash with it. It is heavily biased toward sports I watch and isn't updated very often.
